SUMMARY:Misogyny and organisation studies
DESCRIPTION:SMASH welcomes Dr Lauren McCarthy for her talk ‘Misogyny & Organisation Studies’. \nDrawing on feminist philosopher Kate Manne’s understanding of misogyny as a social practice that functions to police women\, this presentation introduces the concepts of ‘organised’ and ‘organisational’ misogyny.  It discusses what these look like empirically\, drawing on examples such as the Manosphere\, and the London Metropolitan police.
